I took off north to Waldo, FL for a BMX event called Swampfest. I got to camp out with friends and unwind before a week of tats. This was a much needed trip for me.
Swamp Fest is the most Florida event I know of, a true one of one hosted by Trey Jones.
Home base.
Peep the guys exit to the right.
Probably talking about Toby Keith.
They were playing nothing but classic country hits…
Chaz mid flip.
Brian Adams is one of my favorite people.
Shenanigans in full effect.
Made a couple swamp tats.
The campfire convo was my favorite part of the weekend - or playing cards.
It’s all ashes by the end of the event.
Thrasher has a great edit of all the antics.
Time to get to South Carolina.
Swing my door, swing my door.
Straight to it with a fun one for Andrew. Have you ever heard this Johnny Horton song? I personally like Buck Owen’s version of it.
Flying W for Dakota. It was good catching up.
Tyler got one from the line book that I’ve been itching to do.
Met up with my Mama for breakfast.
We did her first and only tattoo.
Then I got her to tattoo me.
Thanks, Mama. It’s perfect.
Thanks for the rad gift, Eric!
Josh in his natural habitat. Had a lot of fun listening to him talk machines. He is making some amazing one of a kind stuff. If you tattoo I highly recommend checking out Amigos mfg.
Made all of my tattoos last week with Amigos machines.
The A Bar liner is my favorite. It’s back home in Tampa with me to stay.
Grandparents handwriting for Kaylee.
Michelle got her new biggest tat. Hopefully her new favorite too.
Traded tattoos with my Bruhzilian Lucas.
The man can make one hell of a tattoo!
This is what he got from me.
Rooster tail for Marty. Thanks for making the drive up from GA.
Travis gets fun tattoos.
Emily got her first and only tattoo from me last trip.
This time we added number two.
Broken flower pot for Dylan.
Dem boys. Beau, Eric, and Kyle.
Vicente Hot Stuff was definitely a personal favorite of the trip. We also started this tattoo at 8am on Kyle’s birthday. GOOOOOOD MORNING!
Paul was covered in nothing but amazing tattoos from everyone at Sweet and Sour. He grabbed this boar’s head out of my line book.
Little sister stopped by to visit. Thanks for the coffee, Jodi.
McKenzie with one for Nana.
Ended the trip with a classic Mark Gonz graphic for Wes.
Skateboarding is the best. Wes and his brother with the Gonz board we tattooed.
Until next time South Carolina. Love y’all!
