I made a trip last week to tattoo some friends, new and old.
I was able to get in some skating, hanging, and even getting tattooed myself.
Southern Star in L5P was the first stop. Thanks for putting me up for a couple nights, Nick and Matty.
My first appointment set the tone for the trip. Chason wanted my take of an old Hazard County Skatepark graphic that was originally done by Mitchell Walker.
HOG HUNTIN!!
Good to see you, Chason!
McIver tattooed at Atomic with us for awhile but moved back to Atlanta. You can now find her tattooing full time at Southern Star in L5P.
Dshep always gets cool ones.
The next morning, Nick and I hit up Miss Ruby’s DIY for a bit before heading to the shop. This park was fun but I could only imagine how fun it would be for someone who can really skate transition. The skaters in Atlanta built this one themselves.
Couple of fun ones for Nick to tighten up some spots.
Fresh color and healed black on a tat we started last year for Spencer.
Spotted this sick Shane Nesmith tattoo alive and well on Spencer.
The final meal in Atlanta. Fellini’s Pizza holds a special place in my heart.
Thanks again for having me, Nick and Zero.
A quick two hour drive and I’m in upstate SC. This trip I made sure to make an appointment with my good friend, Brian, over at Old Crow Barber in Greenville. We go way back. If you need a good cut, he’s your guy.
Quick meet up with another good friend I haven’t seen in too long. Love ya, Jess.
It’s business as usual at Sweet N Sour Tattoo. Kyle says “heck yes we’re taking walk-ins..”
First one in South Carolina. Andrew got this tattoo then flew out the next day for a two week bow hunting trip for Elk in Colorado. Hope you bag a big one out there.
Eric sporting a shirt from one of Florida’s finest tattoo shops.
Finally, I got to trade ‘em with Kyle.
It’s a little Julie (my wife) portrait. I love it.
Kyle got a permanent pocket knife from me.
This photo has old man written all over it. Clemson just got a nice new park.
Lucas - feeble on the bank to curb.
Dylan did this nollie back heel twice real nice.
Nollie flip.
Tried cleaning up the nollie flip and well…first board I’ve broken in a while.
Back at the shop I tattooed a life size one for Eli.
I’ve been wanting to do this space panther for Zane for a bit now. Let’s tattoo more spacey stuff.
Go get you a set from Amigos.
Bent dagger for Nick who made the drive up from Atlanta to get one more from me and check out Sweet n Sour.
Throwing firecrackers in there for Tyler.
I want to do more like this.
Little crawling panther for Dylan.
First tat for Kent.
Matt Nelson design plucked from the wall and handed a flower for Emily.
Meet innovation.
I got to trade ‘em with Beau too this round.
One more for me for the road.
Doesn’t get much more chill than a harmonica Snoopy. Thank you, Beau.
There’s just never enough time when I’m visiting SC. Big love to the whole crew at Sweet n Sour!
Thanks to each and every one of you who got tattooed by me this trip. Ya’ll are the shit!
